When You're All Shower-ed Out
A note to those who can't understand why some people don't feel obligated to attend festivities related to weddings, babies, and/or new home purchases:
If you're getting married, having a baby, buying a house, or any combination of those things: congratulations! If those are things you want, then I am 100% happy and excited for you! They are all important milestones and deserve to be celebrated.
Do you know who and what else deserves to be celebrated?
All of the women who are choosing to forego any (or all) of those traditional milestones.
If I believed in creating an adult wish list of items I could just buy my damn self (aka a registry), this is what would be on it:
To the women having showers/weddings/housewarmings: don't forget to celebrate the women in your life who are doing their own thing, whatever that is.
You probably won't even need to buy them an expensive cutlery set ;)

- Contribution to my CrossFit membership.
- Quality time with you - not you and your significant other. #ThirdWheelProblems.
- Surprise me with a mini adventure. There are few things I love more than adventures and surprises.
- Donation to my favorite organizations: Novick Cardiac Alliance, Partners in Health, and Emergency.
